The Art and Legacy of Tequila with Casa Obsidiana
Description
Embark on an immersive tasting journey with Co-Founders, Jean-Charles Boisset and Roberto Beckmann González, of Casa Obsidiana, a distinguished trio of ultra-premium small-batch tequilas. Roberto, hailing from the renowned Beckmann González family, has come together with Jean-Charles Boisset, proprietor of the esteemed Boisset Collection under a singular vision of paying tribute to the heritage art of tequila making, with an eye towards modern Mexico through its artisan bottles and, innovation with French wine barrel finishings.
Casa Obsidiana Seminar attendees will taste Casa Obsidiana's three expressions: Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo. Each expression is meticulously crafted by Master Tequilero, Francisco Quijano, one of ten Master Tequileros in the world and a global advocate for protecting the art of tequila. Casa Obsidiana uses a proprietary 45-year-old yeast strain, meticulously nurtured across multiple generations of the Beckmann González family, showcasing their commitment to excellence. Additionally, Casa Obsidiana leverages Boisset Collection's barrel regime, directly sourcing French oak barrels that once held Napa Valley Chardonnay and were crafted by premier cooperages. This hands-on approach allows for complete control over Casa Obsidiana's production, ensuring a seamless journey from start to finish.
